Grade 1 rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on culinary class this week, preparing cucumber half cups from start to finish.

Working in small teams, the children grated, scooped, and carefully plated their own creations — practising basic knife skills, following instructions, and working together, all while having a great deal of fun.

The session wrapped up with a shared tasting and a well-earned sense of pride in a dish the class made entirely by themselves.
