In Grade 2's "Budding Writers" session, students spoke and wrote about their families — who they are, and how much they mean to them.

The exercise was designed to build confidence, encourage self-expression, and spark a lasting love for writing. As their teacher put it: the activity helped the children build confidence, express their thoughts, and grow a love for words and writing.

It’s exactly the kind of literacy work that turns writing from a task into something personal and meaningful.
