Torn Paper, Tiny Pegs: First Step Strengthens Little Fingers

First Step's little wonders enjoyed a hands-on paper tearing and peg putting activity this week — carefully tearing coloured paper into pieces and using cloth pegs to pick them up and place them just where they wanted.

Simple as it looks, the exercise does important work — strengthening fine-motor skills, finger strength, pencil grip, hand–eye coordination and concentration, all while keeping little hands busy and engaged.
