Career Quest Program
Inspire. Explore. Discover. The Career Quest Program brings young professionals and recent graduates to The Blue Mountains School to talk with our Grade 8 and above students about the paths they took — the subjects they chose, the choices behind their higher education, and the work they do today. Each session is an open, conversational format built around one guiding idea: ask, learn, and dream big, because the future begins with curiosity.
Sessions are held in the Assembly Hall and are open to all Grade 8 and High School students. A new speaker and session will be featured here as the program continues through the year.
Shansha Syed Ibrahim
Aerospace Engineering Graduate · M.S. Candidate in Industrial Engineering, University of Illinois Urbana–ChampaignOur first Career Quest session welcomed Shansha Syed Ibrahim, an aerospace engineering graduate now pursuing a Master's in Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign. Shansha spoke with our Grade 8 and High School students about the world of aerospace engineering, what the journey through higher education actually looks like from the inside, and the range of opportunities that open up along the way — a candid, first-hand look at chasing a big dream and building toward it one step at a time.
The session ran as an informal, fireside-style conversation, with students gathered close and free to ask questions throughout — exactly the spirit the program is built on.
