Little Hands, Steady Pours: First Step Takes On a Montessori Classic

Little Learners had a wonderful time exploring the pouring activity this week — one of Montessori's classic practical life exercises. With little hands and great concentration, they carefully transferred water from one container to another, judging just how far to tip and when to stop.

Simple as it looks, the exercise does quiet, important work — strengthening fine-motor skills, hand–eye coordination, focus and independence, all while making learning a joyful experience.
