Grade 1's Hindi class this week turned into a hands-on sound hunt, with tables covered in picture flashcards — one set for every स्वर (vowel), each card pairing the sound with a simple picture cue to help it stick.

Working through pile after pile, the students sorted the cards by vowel, then matched and traced each one into their notebooks — connecting how a vowel sounds, how it’s written, and the everyday word it begins.

A table that started out scattered with cards slowly turned into neat rows of sorted sounds, one vowel at a time.
